I happen to know that this is Satanwatch's favorite wiki article: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Special:Random

And this is Humming@Random's: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Special:Random

Please compare and contrast.

Oh, and I was going to say, before wandering off into Wiki land, whatever happened to Satanwatch? And what was with the "eye cabbages"?

Oh yikes, I thought for a minute satanwatch was back. Least entertaining alt ever.

Whomever it was, was not mean to me. In fact, I think the person was kind of nice to me.

And I'd found them this neat image they could have used for their profile:

They weren't nice to anybody else. They were creepy to me, and people don't generally pick on me unless I provoke them. Also, they sucked up to Madame G rather vociferously while they were doing it. Not that I have anything personal against Madame G, but that was when she was rampaging indiscriminately at several people on my friends list. Sucking up is unseemly at the best of times, and the vigor of the eyeball sucking was such that it nearly absorbed several nearby planets in its sucking faceless maw.

I found the real Satanwatch alt to be amusing.

It showed just how badly my easy ridicule of Ivy Mike and Rod Springer had bruised their frail egos.

It showed just how obsessed they had become with silencing me in order to restore their damaged egos here on tribe.

The identity of Satanwatch has been narrowed down to these two. I leave it to them to sort it out among themselves.

The only time you mention that an alt was amusing is if it was you. And it is something you would do, run all over to bounce your old posts back to the top. Much like you do when you make a new tribe and run all over to announce that you've (again) made a new tribe. You'll just ditch it again, on some hapless woman, like you always do.

              :::flicks booger at the monitor:::

Oh, say, that doesn't go through the monitor and hit you, does it?

On the other hand, it's a good thing that stuff doesn't transport between monitors. Can you imagine the male orgasmic results squirting forth all the time? Gee whiz. We'd all have to wear goggles.

If people are perceived as part of a specific group and a member or members of that group do wrong, then it is likely that the entire group will be blamed for the actions of a single individual.

That's how a lot of prejudice and biases start. One incident, one person, and it sullies the entire group. This kind of reaction is natural and instinctive, but not as useful as it would have been in our distant past. Like one of the group eating orange berries and then falls over dead, it's a good time to consider that those berries might not be so good, and that all orange berries on bushes that look like that should be avoided.

Nature even mimics this response. Snakes that have patterns which are similar...some have reactive poison-type teeth. Some don't. But if they look pretty much the same, people and predators will leave all that look like that alone.

The Monarch butterfly IS poisonous...and it has a mimic, the Viceroy butterfly. Viceroy is NOT poisonous, but those that are avoiding the Monarch, will also avoid the Viceroy.

Here on Tribe, it is evident who is attached to whom...via the friend's list. If you are on a Monarch's list, even if you are a Viceroy, you will be lumped into that group of poisonous butterflies. You are guilty, by association.

And a lot of times, people ARE guilty...guilty of not standing up for what is right and just. Not being good people when they can be. Letting those on the friend's list slide for behaviours that would have a stranger attacked. That's not right.

People do have the opportunity time and time again to show their kindly human side. Or their critical thinking side. And they don't.

If you're getting lumped into being "one of those people" (whatever that means at the time), you have to ask yourself, "Is this true?"

Do you absolutely need the affiliation via the friend's list? I say NOBODY needs it. There's a shit-load of unwritten rules that go with that list. For me, if you're a good person, a real person, then maybe. But if a person is a jerk for no good reason, forget it.

Was there a good reason for Madame G to be upset? Yes. There was. People were being jerks. And, some people that are jerks create false names to harass. So anyone that was a jerk and also anyone creating false names and anyone associated with those people were the recipients of the being upset. Rightly so.

Why? Because a good person does not stand by and do nothing while their "friends" go around harassing people. A good person does not have friends like that. A good person says something.

Which is one reason I have no friends. Ha! I say something. But I will say something regardless of WHO it is that I think is doing wrong. Because I am NOT blindly loyal. And nobody wants to get called on their own shit. Including me.

That is also the reason that I believe the Satanwatch character was nice to me and no one else. Because I may be the village idiot, but I see what goes on and I often say something about it.

If you saw bad things happening and did nothing to stop them, then you deservedly received the wrath.

I can never quite remember the saying, but it's something like "A good man who stands by and does nothing is not a good man"
